In 1983 VRC converted three of its Racquetball courts into weight training bays, and has been a multi-fitness facility ever since. Each bay, or converted court, is divided into body zones with a leg/back, arms/shoulders, and free weight area. The result is an open concept exercise area which decreases the noise typically found in large weight rooms. The main weights area features Hammer Strength equipment and dumbbells weighing up to 120 lbs.
If you would like a quieter, more private place to get in your heavy lifting, equipment and free weights can also be found in the circuit weight room and Ladies Only section of the gym. With doubles of almost every piece of equipment spread throughout the gym you’ll never find yourself waiting for a piece of equipment, or lacking for variety.
